To enhance the quality and efficiency of consultations our clinical staff may use Surgery Intellect AI Scribe (powered by Tortus) during your appointment.
Surgery Intellect, powered by Tortus, assists our clinicians by taking notes and summarising your discussions. It is an advanced voice-enabled AI medical scribe designed to transcribe patient visits, phone consultations, generate accurate clinical notes, fill out documents, and dictate letters. It uses artificial intelligence to document medical notes, ensuring your clinician can focus on actively listening to your concerns and delivering personalised care, rather than spending time manually recording the notes themselves.
All captured information is reviewed and approved by the clinician before being saved in the medical record. There is no element of the AI programme influencing or advising the clinician’s thinking or decision-making process – Surgery Intellect is purely a note taking tool, not a clinical assistance programme which allows the clinician to focus on the patient.
At the start of your consultation you will be asked to confirm your consent to the tool being used. Other than that you will not notice anything different during you conversation with the clinician. If you would prefer the clinician not to use Surgery Intelect please do let them know so that they may make sure that it is not activated for your consultation.

Your privacy is paramount. Surgery intellect, powered by Tortus, only processes information discussed during your appointment and operates within strict privacy and data protection regulations.
